A 24-person architecture firm in Bremerton seeks an in-house project accountant/administrator with strong experience in Deltek Advantage software, project tracking and reporting, financial benchmarking, and project AR/AP. This person would work closely with partners, in-house bookkeeper, and multiple architectural project managers. Experience in an architectural office is a plus. Chief Operating Officer

Challenges and great rewards await the strong analytical communicator, manager, mentor, and leader who fills the bill for the newly created Chief Operating Officer of this 150-person, 75 year old, well-established, and highly regarded multi-office architectural, planning, engineering, and interiors corporation.

The COO may be located in Sioux Falls, Minneapolis, Omaha, or Denver and should be able to travel approximately 25% of their time.

With specialties in education, healthcare, government, hospitality, corporate, religious, and municipal projects throughout the greater Midwest/West, the successful candidate will be responsible for the firm's performance in all business and administrative aspects of the firm and will participate at a principal level in strategic and business planning, monitoring and managing the firm's bottom line performance, contributing and streamlining the firm's operating policies while working closely with the firm's CEO and leaders. While reviewing contracts and assisting project managers with specific contract and profit issues, they will participate in selling activities as well as staffing and hiring.

A degree in architecture or engineering is preferred with familiarity with and experience in a professional service practice, preferably in design, engineering, or construction. A strong understanding of the business aspects of professional practice is essential along with the ability to plan, organize, implement, and manage multiple tasks with a multi-office firm.
